Calling All Who've Lost Weight — Did Your Deep Sleep Improve?

Hi everyone,

Started my weight loss journey 9 weeks ago — down 12 kg and counting. Along the way, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I've struggled with sleep for years, but it got worse after I turned 40.

For those who've lost significant weight: did your deep sleep improve? Are you getting longer deep sleep now?

I've heard losing visceral fat especially makes a difference, but I haven't seen anyone actually brag about sleeping better after weight loss. Curious to hear your experience.

Here’s a cleaner, more natural version of your message—keeps your tone but reads sharper and more confident:

Hi everyone,

M41 here.

After years of disrupted sleep and constantly waking up exhausted, I finally decided to do a sleep study. I’ve just received the results—diagnosed with severe OSA (AHI 40) along with significant hypoxemia (ODI 33).

My doctor recommended an Auto CPAP from either ResMed, Philips, or Löwenstein.

I checked with the local distributor:

They carry the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet, but it’s out of stock for at least 3 weeks

For Löwenstein, they have the Löwenstein Prisma Smart Plus available

I’ve decided not to go with the Philips DreamStation 2

So now I’m trying to decide:

Wait for the AirSense 10

Go with the Prisma Smart Plus

Or order the ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet online

Would really appreciate your input—what would you recommend and why?

Thanks in advance
