Will a new for 2848 need to be filed when you lose conservatorship and become executor?
We signed a form 2848 for an accountant to file taxes while I was conservator for my sister who had not filed for 10 years. They have not heard back from the IRS. My sister passed about 3 weeks after the accountant sent the form in. Now I am to be the executor and it is moving fast, will I need to refile form 2848 showing me as executor and giving the accountant POA. How long does it take to hear back from the IRS in these circumstances? TIA!
