For our new uniforms I received a vest (never filled out any form that gave me a choice, this is just what I ended up getting), and now I’m being told I can’t wear the vest because only department leads can wear the vest. Which sucks because I like the vest :( Is this true for anyone elses store?
TLDR: my lead is basically out for a while. I am the only clerk in my department basically, so I’m probably going to be stepping up. Do I get relief pay while my lead is gone? I work in floral for context so there’s no backup lead or anything. I also don’t work 40 hrs a week, if that matters.
Not sure what it’s like at other stores but the new floral standards are so ridiculous. And they’ve already contradicted themselves. No, balloons are not needed all over the store where they will never be purchased and require floral clerks to run across the entire store to maintain them. Legitimately the stupidest change ever. On top of this the fact they expect the World Cup to actually be something that sells product. No one is buying flowers for the world cup… And as for balloons, maybe a few will sell, but nowhere near the amount they sent. Why even bother blowing them up lol
It’s just frustrating. We already have our department to take care of and the outside plants which are a project of their own (no NGS at my store), and they add 20 more things to maintain and do. And what a waste of a depleting resource (helium).
How was mother’s day at your stores? Ours was hell. They sent way too much product on our end. Distro’d huge amounts of stuff that never got out of the box because there wasn’t anywhere to put it. And barely any help. Oh well 🤷♀️ Everything else got wiped out and now we move on to graduation hell.
