is it better to cut flappers or let the skin heal on?
Hi! I'm a new climber (V1 and only been climbing for 2-ish months) and I got my first flapper today. Probably bc I went two days in a row, which I don't normally do, although I'm trying to work on endurance to be able to go more frequently. Anyway, I taped over it bc I wasn't sure if I should rip it off, and then it healed on? Which I was worried about bc I didn't wash my hands before taping, but then when I got back to my dorm, I took a shower and it popped off again. And then it healed on again (but this time without chalk and sweat in it, so that's good at least). I threw on some neosporin and put on a band-aid, but should I have cut it? If it heals back on will I be more likely to get another flapper there than if I just cut it?
Also this might be super specific, but I've noticed that on both my ring fingers, the joint sticks out a little more than on the rest of my fingers. On my left ring finger I've gotten a bunch of blisters on that joint on the inside of my hand; the flapper was on my right ring finger. Is there anything I should do about this, or is it just something that's going to be annoying forever?
