8,900 thanks and a final message for you

8.900 thanks! I am closing this chapter feeling deeply grateful to all of you. I feel blessed that you took the time to read me and for having welcomed me into your community. The phrases I shared were with much love. Your support has been my best tool.

And I dedicate this phrase to you:

"We might be doing something for the last time and we don't know it, so enjoy, hug, kiss, say thank you, sorry, I love you."

Thanks to everyone and blessings We will read each other soon

A final thank you to this community

Subject: Seeking a 6-month Upholstery Apprenticeship: Committed and Hardworking.

To whom it may concern:

I respectfully ask you to read my story to the end and provide me with a response. My name is Jeison, I am 46 years old, and I am writing to you from Manizales, Colombia.

I am looking for a master with character, a serious upholsterer who has the will to delegate his knowledge from the most basic to the most expert level, without reservations and without selfishness. I want to learn from people who do things well, who have good technique, who respect the work, and who do it with love. Specifically, to teach me the trade of professional home furniture upholstery. For three years, I have searched with all my heart for someone to teach me this art. During this time, I have had to work in jobs that I do not like to cover and maintain my responsibilities with my family (it is frustrating for me not being able to find where to learn), but my goal is to master this trade and dedicate myself to it completely.

In my country, I have only found obstacles: very short courses that do not teach real techniques, or very long programs that do not fit my needs. I have spent a lot of time watching tutorials and videos on the internet; although they have given me some techniques and knowledge, they are not enough for me. What I am looking for is a place where I can work and be taught through real and direct practice. I have also encountered workshops that refuse to teach due to professional jealousy, and I even suffered a scam where I lost my savings to someone who committed to teaching me and then disappeared; he emptied the workshop and left no trace.

I deeply admire the quality of your work, and that is why I dare to contact you. I want to be very emphatic in my intentions:

Total commitment to legality: I do not intend, under any circumstances, to stay illegally. I am not looking for how to "leave" my country; I am looking for how to "learn" a serious trade.

My responsibility is in Colombia: My main reason for returning is my family: my wife, my daughter, and my mother. They are my priority and my financial responsibility; therefore, my return is mandatory and must be as soon as possible.

The right amount of time: My goal is to learn in the necessary time, a maximum of six months —or even less if possible— as I must return quickly to look for employment in upholstery in my city to save money, gain more experience and, eventually, set up my own upholstery business at home with my family.

Previous knowledge: I am not an expert, but I am a man of trades with basic knowledge in welding, carpentry tools, and I know how to operate industrial machines (straight-stitch and serger). I am a serious, respectful, and very hard-working man.

Working to cover expenses and procedures: I want to be useful and helpful from day one in a temporary job as an apprentice. I am looking for a workshop that can employ me with just enough to cover my basic expenses; with the payment for my work, I will pay for the necessary travel documents, transportation, and paperwork. I myself take charge of my insurance and the management of my papers. I do not want to be a financial or legal burden; I only need the basics: one meal a day and an economical place to sleep.

Request for guidance: Since I am unfamiliar with the legal processes of your country, I am looking for a workshop that can guide me on what papers and requirements I must have, or where I should go so they can send me an invitation and thus be able to work and be an apprentice for a short time (less than 6 months). I need you to explain to me how to manage this correctly so that the workshop does not have to be responsible for my personal or health matters.

If you cannot provide me with this opportunity, I would deeply appreciate it if you would share my letter with a colleague who might be interested. Please do not let my story end here without someone else reading it.

For your peace of mind, you can ask me for the requirements or information you need to know more about me; I am a man of good. I only need someone to give me the support and the opportunity to learn this trade from start to finish by the hand of a professional who teaches with love for the art.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Blessings.
