Concealed carry left in car.

Hey guys,

Ive done some research on this and cant really seem to find a straight answer.

I have a nassau county concealed carry license and whenever I travel, I almost always have a stopbox with me in the car just in case.

My question has to do with the magazine, I know the gun has to be completely empty in the stopbox but can the magazine be in the stopbox as well or does it have to seperated somewhere else in the car?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Holster wing expander???

Hey guys,

I recently recieved a light tuck holster from vedder and I love it, but im having 1 problem.

The claw that it comes with dosent really seem to be too too helpful with concealing. It does help a little bit, but I feel that i need something that is essentially bigger so that it can push my pistol farther into me than it currently is.....i apologize if im not explaining this great.

I wanted to see if anybody has any experience with making these claws longer essentially, maybe by using a shim or something??

I also have that foam wedge on the back but it only helps so much.

Ive seen the company LAS concealment has a stackable wing, but would that work on a different brands holster?

Any help would be appreciated.

New gun day, finally.

So its been a long process starting with the CCW course late last year, to today, me finally picking up my first CCW.

Just need to finalize which type of belt and holster I want to purchase, theres too many good options out there it seems.

Ain't she a beaut! Lol

2nd amen CCW belt.

Hey guys,

Does anybody have a 2nd amen belt you use for concealed carry?

Ive been looking into different brands and this one has grabbed my attention the most and I wanted to ask if the hype i always see about them is true or not.

Looking to purchase somewhat soon.

Thanks.

Opinions on holsters?

Hey guys,

Just the other day I finally "pulled the trigger" (ba dum tiss) on my first pistol for CCW. I ended up going with the full size Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 Comp. Its such a beautiful gun and Smith and Wessons history speaks for itself. After its delivered and I can pick it up from my local spot, ill make a post and show you guys.

But this is besides the point, im looking for a bit of your advice on holsters, im not what you would call a big person and im standing about 5' 8". I feel like if I go with any kind of holster it'll make the gun a bit too "bulky" and make printing more visible, than im stuck with having to return it and waste time getting another one.

Ive been looking into Eclipse holsters with the claw's because honestly, I love the designs they have, but my concern is more on hiding it, rather than its cool designs.

Is there even such a thing as a "thinner" holester, or are they pretty much all the same?

I'd appreciate any advice guys.

Thanks.

Blocking a mag legal???

Hey guys,

As we all know, we have a restriction of 10 rounds per mag, and the mag itself has to be a 10 round capacity max as well.

Ive heard that you can get a full size gun with something like a 15 round capacity, and have a gun shop "block" or "pin" the mag so that it dosent accept more than 10 rounds.

To me this sounds very iffy, is this legit or am I just asking for trouble by getting a gun with a higher capacity, and blocking it to only accept 10.

I dont know, I think its worth avoiding because what's stopping me from just getting a regular mag that my gun accepts afterwards????

What do you guys think? Any experience with this?

Thanks.

Gun range well stocked with rentals?

Hey guys,

Im currently in a place where I will be soon buying my first concealed carry pistol, I have 2 stopboxes being delivered this Thursday as well.

I wanted to ask your guys opinions, I understand how important it is to actually shoot the gun I want to buy before I actually purchase it, so I wanted to ask if anybody can recommend a range I can visit that has a wide variety of pistols to rent.

I currently have 3 pistols in mind, and id like to call and see if they'd have them available.

Thanks guys.
