Power went out for 6 hours and I realized my IPTV is the only thing keeping this household functional

Storm hit yesterday. No TV, no WiFi, nothing.

Kids were bored out of their minds. Wife and I actually had to talk to each other lol.

Soon as the power came back the first thing everyone did was run to the TV. Not gonna lie, same.

Made me realize I should probably have a backup plan or a better setup. What's everyone in the US using these days? Mine's been solid but open to suggestions

App shows “Invalid Details” even though login is correct

I’m trying to log into the app on my Android TV, but it keeps saying “Invalid Details.”

I double‑checked the username, password, and server URL, and the same details work on my phone. I didn’t change anything recently. Is there something different about logging in on TV?

Tivimate EPG

I’ve had tivimate for ages now and I’ve always been with the same provider and their epg was perfect streams were perfect unfortunately their channels keep going down & now their website so I’ve had to switch to another provider but the only issue is their epg is pretty much non existent but the channels work perfectly.

I’ve seen iptveditor but I’m unsure if they provide and epg or if you have to select the channels that’s already have it.

Smarters Pro keeps reloading playlists and EPG every time I open it

I’ve noticed that every time I open Smarters Pro, it seems to completely reload the playlist and EPG from scratch. It shows “Downloading Live TV” and “Updating EPG” almost every launch.

My playlist is pretty large, so it takes a while before everything becomes usable.

Is this normal behavior, or is there a setting that controls how often it refreshes data?

Smarters Pro takes a long time to switch channels

When I change channels in Smarters Pro, it takes about 5–7 seconds before the new channel starts playing.

Once it loads, it works fine, but the delay feels kind of long.
I’m using it on a Fire Stick 4K.

Is that normal or is there something I can adjust?

Which IPTV provider in the United States has the best reviews?

I'd like to know if Zymine or Meezzytv is better? I've seen a lot of discussions about them on Reddit.

I don't know how to choose; I'm in Idaho.

Hello,I’m running into a really frustrating issue with my IPTV setup and hoping someone can explain what's going on.

I have a 500 Mbps hardwired internet connection, so my speed is definitely fast enough. During the week, watching regular TV, news, or movies is perfectly smooth. Zero issues.

But this past weekend, I tried to watch a major PPV fight, and the channel basically became a slideshow. It kept freezing, looping the same 5 seconds of audio, and eventually just gave me a "Playback Error." I had to constantly restart the app and ended up missing the main event.

What causes this?

  • Is my ISP detecting the live stream and throttling my connection?
  • Do I need to buy a VPN to hide my traffic during big events?
  • Or is there a buffer size setting I need to tweak in my player app?

It’s driving me crazy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My playlist has a ton of groups I never use and it makes scrolling kinda annoying.

I know I can use Favorites, but is there a way to completely hide certain groups from the guide?
I don’t want to delete the playlist, just clean it up a bit.

HI,ompletely new to IPTV and getting ready to set up my first TV. I've been reading a lot of posts here, but I'm getting mixed signals about hardware.

Some people say you absolutely need a $200 Nvidia Shield Pro to avoid buffering, while others say a cheap $30 Amazon Firestick 4K is perfectly fine.

My question is: Does the device actually prevent buffering, or is a smooth experience mostly just about finding a high-quality IPTV service?

I don't mind spending money on a good device if it's necessary, but I'd rather not waste $200 if the real secret is just finding a provider with stable servers. Can a basic Firestick run a good IPTV smoothly? Any advice for a beginner would be great!

I'm looking to upgrade my living room setup soon. Is the Nvidia Shield Pro still the absolute king for IPTV, or are the newer Firesticks / Apple TVs doing the job just as well? Let me know what hardware you're running and how it handles heavy streams
