I could cry tears of joy now, found my perfect mlbb lipstick shade!!!
I have been on quite the lipstick hunt for some time and today I kid you not, I found my perfect mlbb shade and almost cried. For someone with medium deep olive skin tone that is quite desaturated/muted, almost no lipstick looks good on me. The lipsticks that are popular in the market even for brown skin folks look weird on me. Nudes are either pasty pale or turn weirdly orange, all browns pull red or make me look like a ghost, others are too saturated and make me look like a cartoon character. I almost gave up the hunt and thank god I didn't, omg I am so giddy.
It's the Lakme 9 to 5 weightless matte mousse lip and cheek color in the shade coffee lite. It's such a perfect cool toned muted greyish purple brown, an almost mauvish shade. Looks like such a beautiful flush of color on my lips. The perfect greyish muted tone, not too pink not too brown, doesn't emphasize my lip pigmentation, doesn't pull too vibrant and also doesn't make me look ghost, is a comfortable formula that doesn't dry out my already Sahara desert dry lips. It transfers though but that's not a problem for me, almost permanent lipsticks are not my vibe.
I got it online and this is also one of my gripes with the Nepalese beauty market. Shades that I feel would suit people like me are just not available online, forget about physical stores especially if you are outside valley. So I always have to do a lot of guesswork and research before buying and even then I don't get value for my money. So frustrating!!!
