Mysterious Wolfman Cane at FanFest Nights
I was fortunate to be able to attend Fan Fest at Universal Studios Hollywood on several different evenings during the recent run of the event, and of course I spent the majority of my time in Little Europe in the Scooby-Doo x Universal monsters experience.
It was such an amazing experience as a fan of both things, and Universal did a wonderful job with the decor and atmosphere. That brings me to my question – there was an antique shop set up in some of the windows that was clearly a reference to the Wolfman. In one of these windows was a cane that looks like the one from the movie and it was in its own fancy plexiglass case. These were already items that were behind a window with no access to the public, so it seemed a bit overkill to have it in its own case inside.
There is a lot on the Internet about various replicas that have been created at different times as well as the original vulcanized rubber headed stunt cane that is apparently in a private collection. I’m just so curious about this one that deserved its own special case on the Universal backlot.
Other info: no park workers there knew anything about it, but did think the separate case was notable and were curious as well.
