Requested since 2013, finally being built: custom domain invoice sending. Vote now so Xero prioritizes it.
Quick update for anyone frustrated that Xero sends invoices from messaging-service@post.xero.com instead of your own domain.
I reached out to Xero support today, coming from Wave and QuickBooks Online where sending from your own domain just worked. Their response:

Why this matters, if you are new to the issue:
- Invoices from a post.xero.com address that clients don't recognize can read as phishing, and some clients hesitate to send bank or card payments to it.
- Anyone could drop your logo into a Xero account and send an invoice that looks like it came from you. Sending from your verified domain closes that gap.
- Wave and QBO both handle this already. Xero is the odd one out right now.
The idea has been open on Xero's product ideas page since 2013. Support has now confirmed engineering is building it, and this is the point where votes actually move priority. How to help in about 30 seconds:
- Open the idea link below.
- Click "Vote."
- At the top, under "How important is this to you?", mark it "Important" or "Critical."
