One of the best season (S1) finales I've ever seen.

I had known about this show for a while, seen some clips on YT.

I finally decided to start watching it yesterday because on the From subreddit people have been unhappy with the show's direction and some mentioned that Severance is leagues above in terms of developing/revealing mysteries and twists.

Boy is that so true. S1's ending was not only compelling but very satisfying too. I had expected them to be cut off before major reveals but no, Mark got out that his wife is alive, Helly exposed the true nature of the office and Irving didn't drive away/get cut off while approaching the door.

What I really appreciate is that this show doesn't rely on conventional horror tropes. No-one is dying, there are no monsters, no melodrama, people are actually communicating with one another.

The sound/music direction is modest. I love piano music and the show is full of it. No big bassy booms trying to tell the audience what to feel.

The cast is relatively small and each character benefits from the same amount of development. You don't get whiplash by zipping back and forth between situations, or bored via the show pulling away too long on characters you don't care about.

I'm definitely getting into S2 immediately.

What's the etiquette for sharing videos here? e.g. how many months of learning, if you are actually competent or not. Video quality etc.

Post title. Basically It's been approx. 4 months since I started, and I'm getting to a point where my instructors generally say well done, and they might fix a couple of things like my arm positioning or initiating a follow spin on 3 instead of 5. One school isn't keen on a styling I do with my right hand :D but my "main school" has said nothing about it. Small pieces of improvement, not overall stuff.

Anyway, I am starting to get a lot more confident on the floor for full songs at social/practice, and I get positive reactions from follows both friends & strangers. At some point I'd like to start posting videos here for objective feedback, because I'm taking salsa quite seriously - It's become an integral part of my self-development. I really like how much effort goes into those comments.

But I feel like I'm too early into my progression, that you guys will have your work cut out, I send a 4 minute video and it's like "Yeah come back in 6 months". Is there some kind of bar to meet to not waste your time?

Thanks!

Love Vs Discrimination (Review on the Anime so far, and revelation). - S1 cour 2 spoilers

Hey all, I decided to check out Vinland saga due other anime I'm watching being on a pause or releasing weekly. I've heard it being compared to Re;Zero for the main character suffering.

However, I'm learning that Thorfinn is far from the main character, and this show is not about his suffering. In fact there doesn't seem to be a main character at all, and only the overarching story matters, plus whom is driving it at the time. Not that this is a bad thing by any means.

I wanted to say that while the art, direction and voice acting is sublime, I never really saw anything stand out about this show. Re;Zero roped me in from EP1 until S3, this show I was watching mostly about of respect for the work put in and to see where it goes next.

But the episode I am referring to in the title - It's changed everything. The monologue, Prince Canute's heel-turn, rarely does character development in a show come across this way.

Floki's reaction to the change of events, how he's being addressed by Canute, distracted by Askeladd's presence then "Hard of hearing, are you?" (I am watching SUB, btw). I am riveted by the dialogue and everyone's complete disbelief and inability to retain their usual character when confronted by this new Canute. What a show!
