Why am I getting christmas recommendations in July tho

I asked my step dad if we had any Bar Keepers Friend to clean my slightly dirty Leatherman and he replaced it with this 😔😔😔 He also said "this will never rust" but there's already rust on it???

There's a little bit of rust gumming up the various tools and it's kind of annoying to fight with, any tips?
