Köpt hus. Herren innan verkar ha satt upp gardinskenor med vanliga plastpluggar. Det är sibgelskenor från Ikea I alla rum förutom vardagsrummet som kör på deras trippelskenor. Verkar vara kort c/c mellan skruvarna och känns väl ändå ganska stabilt.

Jag ska nu i varje rum addera en sibnelskena så det blir dubbelt överallt. Jag har införskaffat mindre expander/mollyplugg men tycker det känns overkill.

Vad är en rimlig nivå/lösning på detta? Och bör jag göra något med befintliga skenor och deras plastpluggar?

I want to start of with saying that's I'm still new to networking.

I've been running my Acer Connect Vero W6m router with openwrt since I got it two years ago. On tob of it I've been running pihole through a Rpi4. I've forced my WAN network to use my pihole as DNS forcing all (almost) thriguh my own DNS. For the smart things that didn't I added a firewall rule forcing them through it.

In my old home it all worked great. No issues, no hiccups. I figured when moving all I have to do is power it all down, move, and power it all up. But it hasn't been working ever since I moved in.

My fiber goes from outside in to a fiber box, and then a converter. The converter is owned by the city (yes, awful) but they have promised me it only acts as a bridge. It's a Icotera box.

My IPS is not the same as my old place. Here I'm behind a CGNAT but I've asked for my own public IP and it has been granted.

I have to subnets on my router.

192.168.0.x (private)

192.168.5.x (guest network wifi)

Here is what works/doesn't:

When I connect my pc directly to the converter I'm able to reach the internet.

I'm able to ping and nslookup from the router and get replies.

When I connect to private lan and DNS is ON it won't work.

When I connect to private lan and DNS is OFF it won't work.

When I connect to guest wifi and DNS is ON it won't work.

When connected to guest wifi and my DNS off it works

Can someone please give me something I can try to fix this. It's driving me crazy.
