My drosera spatulata is getting ready to flower

My Drosera is getting ready to flower, so I took the opportunity to shoot it with my new macro lens. I couldn't quite get the dew on the spiral area perfectly in focus but I'm still pleased with the result.

Last time I had flower stalks it got buds but grew too tall/close to my light before it could flower, and had to be cut. Hoping I don't have the same problem this time.

Edit: grammar

More practice with my Drosera

Another attempt at my sundew (Drosera spatulata) after some more practice. My first post is here. I definitely need to dive into focus stacking next, but the narrow depth of field here created a cool abstract effect that I’m actually digging.

Canon 60d and Tamron 90mm f/2.8 di Macro VC.

I've been using my Pixel 8 Pro as a camera for the last few years, but since I've been getting interested in macro photography I decided it was time to get some glass. This was my second day with the 90mm and taken handheld, because my tripod hasn't arrived yet. The plant is Drosera spatulata (spoon-leaved sundew).
