Immediately take D427 after D426

So on Monday June 29th 2026 I took D426 after 5 weeks of studying it, you can see the tips I did in my last post. Well the same night I passed D426 I decided to then take the PA for D427 and easily passed it.

Well the next day I said screw it let's take the OA for D427 and I got an Exceptional on it, without studying it. I did a 20 minute review of the SQL code I got wrong on the PA on Google Gemini and then did the exam. The OA is nearly identical to the PA, the majority of the SQL I had to write was simply deleting rows, adding rows, creating a table, pretty much all simple SQL code writing. The multiple choice questions is very basic questions, pretty much if you passed D426 you don't gotta worry in that regard.

USE THE REFERENCE SHEET GIVEN TO YOU, WILL MAKE EVERYTHING SO EASYYYY

D426 Database Foundation Passed! Tips

Let me start by saying this Class is just 😤😤

If you gone through the the python class this class may be a bit easier to grasp. I didn't have any SQL experience at all, I started from 0.

What I did to pass was read and complete all of chapters 1,2,3, and 5 of Zybooks. Do the labs, I'm telling you, it will help you for D427 which on now.

I attempted to do chapter 4 and I said screw this, there was so much reading I instead watched Caleb Curry videos regarding the topics on ER relationships, subtype and & Supertype and anything else in chapter 4. I watched additional random videos specifically in Normal Forms and ER relationships.

Read the 17 Page study guide you can get in the course resources multiple times I think I read it like 3 times, with an extra focus on the red text.

Do the practice test on the course resources and study up on the topics of the questions you got wrong.

Take the OA after you pass the PA and the course resource practice test and you should be good.

Also screw the Union stuff, didn't even get a question on using Union instead of Joins

Is Downtown Minneapolis and the great area the move to do?

Hello y'all, my partner and I are planning to move and the twin cities specifically downtown Minneapolis and we are coming from New York and Miami, I live in Miami and he lives in NYC.

We got our eyes on downtown Minneapolis for a few reasons

- Cost of living

- LGBT friendly

- City atmosphere without it being overwhelming like Miami and NYC

- Strong Tech Sector for my line of work

- walkable city

Is there any hidden Cons we are overlooking that we should consider before finalizing our decision to move?

We used to live together but Military/School had us live apart and we really trying to find a place we can call home and be part and grow in a community long term

Imposter Syndrome? Feeling like you not good enough???

How did you guys know you were ready for the next step in your IT career?

Do you ever feel like you don't know anything compared to others?

Do you feel like your knowledge, hands on experience, and work experience isn't enough?

These are questions I'm always asking and I do struggle with a lot of doubt in my skills. I have my certs, I have worked in IT, MSP as help desk Tier 1 for the private sector and then in the government sector as an MDM admin /Project Management, and in the military I did IT, setting up LANs for the last 3-4 years

Yet I am always so nervous and doubtful that I am not ready to move on to the next step in my IT career, go for higher level positions. People tell me that I am very bright and that I can easily get a higher level job but sometimes I look at the requirements for job postings and it's like a never ending list of things they want a candidate to know or have experience in.

I am pretty adaptable, I think I have solid foundation skills and knowledge that will make understanding different software or different aspects come to me pretty easy and be able to perform whatever functions is required but is that what companies care about or are they looking for candidates with experience that follows exactly what they looking for in their job posting?

Received my a6400 today with Sigma 30mm 1.4 Lens

Was thinking about getting a camera for like a month or two now, just to take photos as just a hobbiest. I already enjoyed taking photos on my phone and then edit them using snapseed. I am very big on getting a great photo, focusing on angles and lighting and I thought it might be a nice hobby to pick up.

Today was my first day actually taking photos, I went straight into manual mode because I didn't like auto mode trying to brighten everything up. I tried using the "P" mode but it was still not enough control.

Honestly while I understand aperture, ISO, and shutter speed, I don't really quite under the harmony between the three so I just winged these photos.

So here is photos of my car, and I did do some lightroom editing, mostly them being applied presents.

Can't wait to get better and understand my camera more!
