The first photo is on Google photos, the second is opened in snapseed. Phone is pixel 9a.
It is most noticeable on the hairs on the butterfly's thorax. They are quite blurry in snapseed, but have fine detail in Google photos. Of course reddit's own compression has lessened the difference a little, but hopefully it is still apparent.
I appreciate Snapseed doesn't support HDR (yet? 🙏) but I didn't think the sharpness/detail of an image would be affected by HDR. Perhaps I am wrong, but it doesn't feel like the kind of thing affected by dynamic range (at least not in more mid tones like this).
Is there something I am missing?
