Venting motor ejection charge on an electronically deployed rocket?

Hi there,

I have an idea to build a model rocket with an electronic servo driven parachute ejection system. however, where I live I am not able to obtain any plugged rocket motors with no ejection charge.

my current idea is to have the ejection charge vent through several small, symmetric side ports instead of pressurising the recovery bay.

Has anyone done this before? Is there any reason this wouldn’t work ( regarding side forces, stability, hot gas damaging the airframe?)

I would greatly appreciate any advice :)

Thanks!

3D printed fins and motor mount

hi there. for a D12-7 motor, I have 3D printed these parts out of PETG. Are my designs good and is improvement needed?

I am reasonably confident for my fin and motor mount/ screw on retainer designs. I am a bit worried about the heat form the motor but inside the mount there will be a layer of construction paper btwn the motor and the mount to hopefully mitigate the heat.

Hi. for trimester 2, I am taking Higher math 1B (1241), COMP1511 and ELEC1111. how manageable would this be for me to handle?

Also, does anybody know how harshly syntax is marked for the maths final exam? I accidentally left an extra comma after some bracket The exam information said that markers still check the answer manually so will I get marked down?
