Hello everyone. As quite a few of yall know, I got into a not at fault wreck in my 87 el camino a few months ago, and I have been posting updates. A few people have asked for another, so I’d figure I’d just post one!

My car is at Kieth Hodges shop in tyler texas (Absolutely amazing people) and it should be done in about a week!

I’m getting a new cowl hood, headliner and a full paint job. Paints already down on everything, and everything has been polished and made all pretty. I can’t wait to have my car back, I’ll attach a picture of how it sits. All it needs is a little reassembly and she’s back to being mine.

Hello anyone who’s following my wrecked camino’s updates! First off, the car pictured is the donor car we picked up! my elky is off to the right. Anywho, I wanted to make a little update after hearing back from insurance.

Insurance wrote me a check for $20k and i am going to put that all right back into my car! That’s about it. I’m repainting the whole car and want to make her look brand new. I should have my baby back mid june, so i’ll update yall then, or before if I have any more major updates.

Hello everyone! I posted about a month ago in regards to my wrecked 87 el camino ss, and wanted to provide a quick update!

I tore off all of the broken parts, and it turns out not near as much was messed up as I expected. If I were to buy all the parts new it would only come out to about $2200. The only “engine components” that were broken was my radiator and ac condenser.

However, I managed to find and secure a front clip with a cowl hood for $800!

The cops could never find the person who pulled out in front of me (go figure), but I’m currently working with insurance, and they’re classifying the wreck as a no fault incident.

However, insurance won’t write me a check, so I took the car to a friends shop, and he’s going to do all of the labor for a whole lot cheaper than anywhere else, so hopefully I can walk away with a few dollars in my pocket.
