Where The Wild Things Grow, Evjenia Psarris, Acrylic, 2026
There is something beautiful about the way nature grows.
The grass doesn’t ask permission to reach toward the sky. Flowers don’t wait until the conditions are perfect before they bloom. They simply grow—with the rain, through the wind, and sometimes in places where no one expected them to survive.
Where the Wild Things Grow is a reminder that life works much the same way.
For me, this piece represents the seasons of our lives when we are growing quietly, even when we don’t realize it.
Sometimes we look at ourselves and think we’re standing still. We wonder why things haven’t changed yet. But beneath the surface, roots are forming. Strength is developing. We are becoming someone we couldn’t have imagined before.
And then one day, we bloom.
Not because life became perfect, but because we learned how to grow through it.
This painting is for anyone who has ever felt like they were falling behind, starting over, or trying to find their way.
You are not behind.
You are growing.
And just like wildflowers, you don’t have to become someone else to be beautiful. You only have to keep reaching for the light.💜
