Confused by a line in Eldest (pre ritual) where Eragon is with the dwarven priest looking at the painting of the original Eragon; he says “once my ears match yours, we shall truly be brothers through time…” I know he does become much more elven at the end of Eldest, but at this point in the book there was no plan to do that ritual that I’m aware of. Why does he know his ears will be more elven? I’m assuming I missed a line somewhere where it says that riders in general will get those ears, but I’m not sure when. Thank you!
