Looking to transfer PPL flight schools – recommendations anywhere in the UK?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently doing my PPL in the North West of England, but I’m seriously considering transferring to another flight school.
Unfortunately, I’ve become quite disappointed with my experience so far. I don’t feel I’m getting the support or guidance I expected as a student. I often feel criticised rather than coached, and it’s reached the point where I don’t feel comfortable asking questions because I’m worried they’ll be met with judgement or more criticism. As a result, my confidence has taken a knock, and I don’t think I’m learning in the environment that’s right for me.
I’m fortunate in that I’m happy to relocate anywhere in the UK for a period of time if it means I can train consistently at a school with a good reputation and supportive instructors.

My priority isn’t the cheapest or closest school it’s quality instruction, a positive learning environment, and being able to complete my PPL efficiently.
I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who have trained somewhere themselves or have first hand knowledge of schools with an excellent reputation. If there are any schools you’d avoid, I’d also be interested to hear why.

I’m also unsure about the process of transferring. For those who’ve done it:
How straightforward was it?
What paperwork or training records did you need from your current school?
Did your logged hours transfer without any issues?
Did the new school carry on from where you’d left off, or did they reassess your progress first?
Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
