Three-time champion signs with Taipans
Worst kept secret is official.
Taipans roster looking decent? Possible top 6 this year provided they stay largely clear on the injury front.
Kings depth has taken a serious hit this year

Big signings today - Days from their '25 championship team and Doyle to partner Harvey in the back court.
Also, I think this would be Doyle's 5th year in the NBL so surely citizenship could be round the corner for him too, he has expressed an interest previously. Harvey and Doyle as locals would be something.
What do we think of the Hawks chances with this info? Still one import to sign.
Kid can't catch a break.
Massive headache for the Kings who will now have Wessels as their starting C unless the last import spot is a big man and no longer a 3/4 which is what they've been looking for. Maybe they keep Galloway after all.
Kings get Jayden Stone.
Was intrigued to see if he would go to the NBL. Looks like a decent rookie/cheap option to have on the bench behind KD/Delly. 25 years old and decent experience in college.
His final year of college: 13.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game
I think that's it for local spots for the Kings, on the proviso JG stays. The 2 open import spots to complete the roster will go a long way to determine what their season looks like. Still have to fill the massive shoes of Soares.
Good to see Brucey still in the league, hopefully see him on the court a bit more than last season. Good to have him there to mentor Luke Paul if he comes on board as well.
How we feeling Taipans fans?
Alright ... which team(s) would he actually fit in at? Can rule the 36ers out with how he left. Can't see Wildcats biting with their current imports.
Personally I'd like him to join Bullets or Taipans, might have more freedom to play his game.
Probably one of the strongest Boomers line up outside of the Olympics and World Cup squads. Poor Guam. Keen to see BC light it up. Surely it's over by Q1.
Squad:
Tyrese Proctor (Cleveland Cavaliers/Charge)
Wani Swaka Lo Buluk (Illawarra Hawks)
Keanu Pinder (Cairns Taipans)
Elijah Pepper (Perth Wildcats)
Jack McVeigh (Cairns Taipans)
Ben Henshall (Perth Wildcats)
Angus Glover (S.E Melbourne Phoenix)
Mitch Creek (U-BT Cluj-Napoca)
Alex Condon (Florida Gators)*
Bryce Cotton (Adelaide 36ers)*
Josh Bannan (Tasmania JackJumpers)
Taran Armstrong (Tasmania JackJumpers)
Will be interesting to see what happens in the 30-60 days mentioned in the article
