So me and my pillion rider were bored and wanted to roam around and the city, Rode on the dumas road and apparently there was no police at ONGC Circle.
We thought there would be cops at Dumas patiya but luckily not there either. There were cops only at the Langar and they prohibited to go straight so we took right and rode till the Dumas village.
While riding suddenly my bike’s ignition was dead and couldn’t be started. Me and pillion rider tried to bump start it but apparently no bueno.
Out of nowhere the dogs came up and came near us and started barking like anything. Doing wolf cry and shit. Villagers were near and they noticed it. However, scary shit was that the dogs weren’t barking at us but at the middle of the road. The circled the middle of the road. We somehow managed to start the bike and left the place ASAP.(all of this was jibber jabber and no such shit was happened)
If anyone wants to visit their, it is totally safe. Police patroling is done there so no need to worry. Dumas might not be a horror place but yes it is a good place to roam around. Might want to circle it to Dumas village and then main road. Open Road with plains on both sides, huge sky and clouds… can experience once. Light pollution does steal the thunder but works.
Born and raised in Surat but still do drop some places which can be visited with family and friends.

Spotted this Beechcraft King Air 350i on the ramp today and had to stop and admire it ;that stretched fuselage, T-tail, and winglets give it such a purposeful, businesslike stance, and theres nothing quite like the sound of those twin PT6A turboprops spooling up. Its the kind of aircraft that doesn’t need to shout to turn heads: fast, capable into shorter strips, and just endlessly clean looking on the tarmac. Always a great spot.
okay so context; I'm a planning engineer at a construction site, graduated last year, this is my first job. 7 months in and idk how but it feels like the time just... went. like I blinked and it's been half a year.
my day is basically the same thing on repeat. wake up 7:30, somehow ready by 9, off to site. tell myself I'll leave by 7pm, end up staying till 8 cause there's always "just one more thing" to finish. by the time I'm home I got nothing left in the tank for family, friends, anything really.
salary comes in every month which is nice ig but then I sit and think; spend it on what exactly? I don't have the time to actually enjoy it with the people I'd want to spend it with. and it's not like I'm out here blowing money on stupid stuff (ok maybe sometimes lol) but even that doesn't hit the same when you're doing it alone or half asleep
meanwhile all my friends from college are scattering, some moving to other cities, some literally leaving the country, everyone's building their own thing and I'm just watching it happen on instagram stories cause I can't find 2 free hours to actually call them
is this just the fresher tax everyone talks about or is my schedule actually messed up? anyone else in construction/engineering been through this phase - does it get better or is this just the job now. would love to hear from people who've figured out how to actually have a life alongside this kind of work cause rn I got nothing figured out
