Are your paychecks constantly messed up?

Like no overtime or H for fires you have been on, straight up missing days of overtime pay. I’m with the Feds and this is really starting to annoy me.

The people above me do the times and just say it’s an HR problem but idk man.

There’s no point in me working my ass off if I only get paid for it 50% of the time. I basically have to fight a battle to get any hours I worked over base on my paycheck.

I really love the job but the gov which is 39 Trillion in debt not paying me my GW5 overtime rate is insanity

Which hotshot crews get to travel all over?

I am a 2nd year engine slug and want to go to a crew so I can see more fire. One of my fav parts about fire is the cool assignments. Do most shot crews get to go to Alaska and out east or does it depend?

23 yo just hit 100k in the Roth

I’ve always known I don’t want to work until 65 so I started maxing my Roth while working at Walmart in high school. Also rolled over 15k from a Roth 401k in here. I’ve never made more that 65k a year. I also have it all in sp500 index funds with 0 leverage.

About 65k of the 100k is contributions and the rest are gains. Posting here so you guys know it’s possible to do this without being a nurse in Cali making 100/hr in the Bay Area or a software dev or something high paying like that.

Goal is to retire by 45 that basically depends on if the sp500 continues to perform well
