Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of Melee clips on X.

They look really exhilarating and like a lot of fun, but

when I try playing Melee myself, I struggle with how hard it is

and end up playing really badly, which is frustrating.

Is there a Melee-like game out there

with great controls, a sense of exhilaration,

and that’s been tuned so anyone can enjoy playing it?

By the way, my favorite characters in those clips are Marth, Ganon, and Falcon!

I’m looking for games built around an addictive gameplay loop rather than progression.
I love games where simply performing the core actions feels satisfying over and over.
