Making AIR POKER on Roblox
Hello everyone, I am the creator of the Roblox Drop the Handkerchief game. I have decided to scrap that project because I just was not satisfied with how it was turning out. Instead, I am moving on to make a proper Usogui game on Roblox called Air Gambit. ( can't use the original name it's censored)
The game is currently in development. As a solo dev, it is taking me some time to properly learn Roblox Studio, so things take a bit of time. So far, I have finished the main lobby where you can create or join parties, which includes public lobbies and friends only options. I have also built the models where the actual game will take place.
My goal is to make the game as close to authentic Air Poker as possible, but some things will not be included. For example, the different types of pain from the manga will not be featured because they would take way too much time to animate, and university is starting up for me soon.
The game will be 5 rounds long and I have fully thought out the system and mechanics. There will be two versions: easy and hard. Easy mode will release first and will include helpful UI features. When you hover over a card, it will tell you what sort of hand can be made with it for the player in the tank. It will also show the hand class ranking, a hand calculator, and a tracker that tells you which cards have been used so far for the player above. Hard mode will release a few days later and will have no sort of hand holding at all for a truly authentic experience.
The game will release at the end of this month or in the first week of September.
