Interested in transferring to Farmingdale's Nursing program.. need help understanding something
HIIII so I've taken most of the nursing prerequisites at SCCC, but have yet to take A&P 2 which I will either take this summer or fall (depending on the response I might get here)... I also haven't taken Microbiology yet and the school's website doesn't have Microbiology listed under the 'must have completed courses' so I'm not sure if I even need Micro to be able to apply to their Advanced standing nursing program, I also may need to take an Ethics class.
To my understanding all you need to be able to apply is:
- 3.2 Cumulative GPA
- BIO 170, Human Anatomy & Physiology I – 2 attempts within 5 years
- BIO 171, Human Anatomy & Physiology II - 1 attempt within 5 years
- EGL 101, English Composition: Rhetoric
- MTH 110, Statistics
- PSY 101, Introduction to Psychology
- Three Liberal Arts and Sciences curriculum requirements
- and the TEAS exam
I really want to go to Farmingdale for Nursing since they have a good rep but if the timeline doesn't align then so be it. If anybody has experience applying to the program I hope you could take the time out of your day to reply!!!!
