Changing legal gender as a non-canadian citizen.
Hi, so im looking into changing my legal gender soon, and i have a few questions about how that will work.
I have canadian drivers license, health card, and visa, but my passport is from the UK. I also dont have PR (yet), but ive lived in Ontario for many years.
Ive been researching how to change my gender on my UK passport, but its confusing me since they require a “gender recognition certificate”, which does not exist in Canada (as far as im aware, correct me if im wrong)
It got me wondering, can i change the gender on my Canadian documents (drivers license, visa, etc) through the Canadian process, while my passport is still registered as my birth sex. If this is possible, would that simplify changing my passport, since i could just show proof of my gender through my updated Canadian documents?
Any clarification will do, i wonder if anyone else has wondered this
