Hall H: Fool Me Once...
I know this may not sit well, but here is the truth:
No matter what you read even with a wristband or ticket Hall H admission is never guaranteed.
Two years ago my group had tickets for Deadpool vs. Wolverine. We didn't get in.
What response did we experience from other fans of Deadpool vs. Wolverine and Marvel when we aired our grievances?
"You're still talking about it?"
What we learned?
If a popular event is being held then Hall H will fill with wristband/ticketed attendees first, but as the start of the events nears the hall will be filled with the next warm bodies in line.
Never trust a Marvel Cinematic Universe panel to be run justly.
Even with a ticket/wristband and not getting in you will not be compensated for your time.
The Con is what you make of it.
Those lessons were a teaching moment, but many people didn't heed the warnings.
This year we didn't waste our time on Marvel. We gave blood, attended the art show, saw the new Spaceballs panel in Hall H, attended the Bob's Burgers & Futurama panels in Ballroom 20, attended the Masquerade in Ballroom 20, went to The Lodge, saw a few celebrities out front and on the floor, spent a lot of time on the floor, and had the best experience we've ever had.
We put in two and a half hours in line for Spaceballs and decided if we weren't going to get in to cut our losses before it started. However if we didn't see it our Con wasn't wasted, because we specifically didn't spend all of our time invested in this one activity.
Take-a ways:
Marvel (MCU) and Comic Con will still sell out of tickets and have full panels.
Other people will take your place should you not want to attend again.
Never put all of your eggs in one basket.
The Con is what you make of it.
