New Bag: AER Travel Pack 3 small x-pac
Well, I got my first Aer backpack. I've always watched reviews but just never felt like I'd like it. It was on sale since the 4 came out, and I decided to try it out.
I had the Bellroy Transit Travel Pack Pro (30–38 liter expansion) as my travel backpack but decided to just sell it. I wanted something to be travel + EDC, it was great as a travel backpack but not so much as an EDC.
The Aer travel pack 3 small x-pac has been great so far as an EDC. I prefer the compression strap; it keeps it compressed and looks good. I carry a 15" laptop, charger, headphones, earbuds, mouse, and snacks for work. I prefer having extra room when I need it.
Pros
-Love the material and quality, the material doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would be.
-Handles feel great
-Organization is amazing and I love the interior color
-Strap and comfort of wearing the backpack... well now I get it.
-Water bottle slot is fine for me, I don't use it as much other then buying a bottled drink
Cons
-It is quite heavy on it's own
-Wished the top handle was on the laptop side of the zipper. I'm not sure why but I naturally reach for that area which makes me miss the top handle all the time
-The zippers were annoying and stiff, but it got better. Still annoying but I accept it for it's durability and protection
So now I have the AER travel 3 small x-pac, rework 20L backpack (this was the one that felt small and tight with stuff), rework 6l sling v1.
