RTD, the more research I do, the more it seems like the agency was already struggling financially before the pandemic, and there were even layoffs during COVID. What I’m curious about is this: why did RTD ramp up hiring and act like everything was stable after the pandemic? Was the agency relying heavily on temporary federal relief funds to keep operations and staffing levels afloat until the money ran out? Or were leadership and management being misleading about the long-term financial reality? It feels like the federal aid may have temporarily masked deeper structural financial problems.

RTD I am curious if you have found any solutions to yout budget yet, have you received any more grants, will service be cut? Have you found a solution. What is the next step ?

RTD what happened to that Hybrid bus that you had years ago sitting in front of the Platte shop. Was it a nightmare to repair or was it a constant struggle to get parts for. It had a logo on it saying Gm Hybrid, but it may have been made by a different manufacturer. Unfortunately I can not find a picture of it in my collection.

RTD will you continue to run diesel buses for the future or will you switch some to natural gas or electric. I was just looking at other transit fleets across the country and seeing all the different fuels they use.
