I was walking along Norman from the Nassau St G stop to my friend’s house last night around 12:10am (early morning July 4th). While waiting at the crosswalk at (I’m 85% positive, was too stressed to pay attention) Diamond and Norman, a man drove up behind me on the sidewalk, pulled my totebag forcefully off my shoulder, and drove away.

It was a non-confrontational interaction, I didn’t feel unsafe, and there was little of value in my bag, so this went the best way this kind of situation could have, but it was surprising and stressful so sharing for awareness. Wish I wasn’t distracted by looking at my phone so I could have noticed him sooner!
