Hi all. On Monday, we released the 2.0 version of our shadcn/ui community file.

It's one of the most complete files out there that's still free.

It has ALL shadcn/ui components including the Questionnaire component (released just last week) as well as the five chat-related components that were released in June. It's made in the Nova style (same as the docs)

To theme this to your brand, it has an easy to use set of theming variables aligning with shadcn. It includes support for dark mode. 1800+ Lucide 1.0 icons (keyword tagged), and all Tailwind 4.2 colors.

Check it out at https://www.figma.com/community/file/1514746685758799870/obra-shadcn-ui-kit-community-edition-2-0-0

New Liquid plugin for Jetbrains-based IDEs (with Shopify Liquid 2026 support)

Hi Shopify developer community 👋

I noticed the official Jetbrains Liquid plugin had really bad ratings, and was basically unmaintained.

At DotDev, Shopify announced some additions to the Liquid language.

We were already working on Nunjucks and Svelte plugins with my company Obra Studio. Nunjucks shares many of the syntactical use cases with Liquid.

It seemed like a good time to improve upon the original Jetbrains plugin, so we developed a new plugin. It has support for the additions to Liquid. It fixes the most requested issues with the original Jetbrains-made plugin.

Pues no.

shadcn icon mapping: let's create a full mapping across icon sets

I created a little game to solve the nichest of problems, which will I think will help creators in the shadcn community (including shadcn himself and other figma kit creators like me)

The problem is that people expect to be able to switch icon sets at will (in code, in Figma...), but it's not always known which icon maps to which icon in another set.

For example, `PlusIcon` in Lucide icon maps to `PlusIcon` in Phosphor. OK, that's obvious. And it's `RiAddLine` in Remix icons. Not so obvious. shadcn himself already did 172 of these mappings. That's how create knows how to “swap icon sets”.

However, the data is not complete. If you query the codebase for shadcn/ui with Claude, you can get the 172 equivalents. I suppose shadcn did that by hand for popular icons.

My theory here is to use the wisdom of crowds. If everybody (and by everybody, I calculated we only need about +-250 people) could map 10-ish icons, the dataset would already be much more complete.

The dataset created is then open for everyone to use in their tools. In fact, any update to the dataset is immediately downloadable from the game website.

To incentive people to play, I am giving 5 copies of the Obra shadcn/ui kit for whoever did the most curations by next week Thursday.

You can sign in with Github and start “playing“ (I realize it's a rather boring game... but please take 3 minutes and help map 10 icons!)
