Hedge trimmers won’t open

These are pretty old hedge, trimmers wooden handle metal blades with a bolt in between the two blades. It was originally opened, and I sprayed WD-40 all over it, and I even greased it up with other lubricant, and I used a hammer to try and close it, which got it closed like this but now it won’t even budge. Is there a solution beyond what I’ve tried? I’ve considered dunking it in a rust remover, hoping that might work?

Aji Kogane Turnip

First time growing these Japanese turnips, very peppery flavor! Very easy to grow! Probably better to sow a more thorough crop in the fall. Has anyone had any luck storing these throughout the summer?

Pepper Plants Issues

I put these pepper plants in around May 10th.
I normally don’t fertilize them other than the local cow manure, which I spread over the garden in early spring like in March and April and then till in. Does it seem like they’re too small right now?
I’ve noticed that a few of them are producing fruit already, but they’re like a foot tall.

Red veined Sorrel

I’ve never grown this lettuce before, but it looks quite delicious and I’m just wondering when to pick it?

Suggestions on repairing this?

The heater that was in the water in this trough melted through the bottom of it and created this opening. Is there a way to repair this opening somehow so that the trough doesn’t leak?
