Noob Question

I'm starting up my first synth DIY project and have breadboard Ed my circuits. I'm now ready to take the plunge and convert it to a pcb. Question: what is/are the standard pcb circuit design app (s) that are commonly used? Will obviously want to save the pcb file to send to a manufacturer, are there different formats of pcb files? Do they easily convert from one to another? For paid apps, are there any benefits that you aren't going to get in freeware?

I don't want to spend time crafting up the design and save it to a cjfjffjf format and then find out that manufacturers do best with a rorkrkrkf format.

Thanks all.

Anyone Know What The Different Downloads Are?

This is the M-wave site. For me (windows) there are 3 download options. Obviously the bottom left is the actual firmware file, but what is the difference in the two top left apps? One only updates the firmware? The tones? Anyone know if they do different things?

Oh my fricking god it actually got here

Like many of us in North America I had seen the Mwave FM pop up here and there on sites etc and half wondered if it was real. I took the plunge, ordered one online from the only place you can order it (which is wild btw) and it arrived today. I honestly suspected it might not be real. Didn't know what to expect when opening the box. But here we are. For those of you who own one, any tips?

Suggestions for Suboscillator Modules

I've been experimenting with suboscillators recently on VCV (Substation, or just paired oscillators dropped 1 octave sort etc). I have a "real" modular system as well and would like some ideas on a good suboscillator vco module to add to my rack. Emphasis would be on flexibility of the module (ie lots of cv options, maybe dual subosc outputs or something). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Or, any point in going the cheaper route and just buying an octave shifter to use pipe into into two of my current oscillators? Thanks all.
