Please help… I have my soe, 3 applications, 3 interviews, 0 offers… I’m desperate please help me, teaching is my passion but I’m considering quitting because it feels as if I’m not good enough.
I’ve had 3 applications that led to 3 interviews with 0 offers. My interview feedback is very positive. First interview I had a letter of rec from the department head. My observation school invited me to apply they recruited me heavily. Second interview was great I was told they loved my responses, they asked many follow up questions but still ghosted. Third interview was my best by far, they told me I had a fantastic interview and were very glad to have spoke with me. I was told that my answers were the same responses they had when they interviewed. I was told I’m “clearly passionate and knowledgeable”. They laughed many times and told me repeatedly I speak like “a great teacher”. They said they’d update me today but no call again… what am I doing wrong? I feel demoralized and tired, as if I can do all right and “positive” but still not even get a second opportunity for the next interview. Please teachers…. It’s my first year and I’m extremely passionate about teaching my father was a custodian for over 20 years and he inspired me to live an honest life as an educator. Below is my resume.
P.S. I also have submitted strong letters of recommendation (without reservation). From well respected coaches, professors, and former hiring board members. My support is strong, however principles are still not seeing my true value.
