We're building an intergenerational day rave in Shoreditch — 60-year-olds and 20-somethings on the same floor, home before dark (18 Jul, Sat)

Hey all — founders of Longevity Rave here (https://www.instagram.com/longevity.rave/) . We throw parties that look exactly like a normal house/techno party, except the crowd spans 20s to 60s+ and everyone's able to dance freely without any judgement.

The idea started because we (Tina, a longevity scientist and DJ at 62, and Yukari, a cultural anthropologist and DJ) met on a dancefloor across a 30-year age gap and realised how rare it is for a party to actually mix generations. Most "wellness" stuff is solitary or boring — apps, wearables, the gym. Most stuff that brings people together — clubs, raves — doesn't get credit for being good for you, even though dancing together might be one of the more powerful things you can do for your health. So we started running events that take the science seriously without being a wellness retreat: good music, great people, no forced sobriety lecture, just a party that's paced to start and end earlier so you're not wrecked the next day.

We've done this at a couple of places in London, like Hackney, House of KOKO, but we are trying to build more of a proper community in London. Our next one is at Shoreditch, 45 London, and it would be great to meet any like-minded ravers who are keen to be part of our community! If this event goes well, we want to run more events in the area :)

Longevity Rave — Day Rave
📍 Parallel 45 at 45 London, Shoreditch (45 Curtain Road)
📅 Sat 18 July, from 4pm

Not trying to hard-sell it, and we are genuinely curious what this community thinks of the concept.

Thanks everyone!
