Thought this might be worth posting as it seems that it’s bit common knowledge - our EA didn’t know about it.

We had someone view our house, offer, then come back round for another 5 viewings with 2 different builders because they wanted to build an extension(3 bed and they wanted to convert garage and add extra space to make it a 5 bed)

They seemed really happy about everything and texted us for weeks about how things were going and how they felt bad for their buyers due to them taking ages to do things that they allegedly didn’t realise needed doing (their mortgage required a shale test and they never bothered to look into it for weeks).

For them to email the solicitors 11 weeks later to withdraw without explanation.

Obviously we were absolutely fuming.

Managed to find out that if your house has been under offer for 7 weeks (49 days) you can email Rightmove and they will relist your property with a new date and “feature” it for a week.

I’m sure doing this definitely helped sell our house again.
