Why Are Jodhpur Cinemas So Allergic to Subtitles?

Jodhpur cinemas do release movies in other languages every now and then and there are literally Tamil and Malayalam speaking people here who would love to watch them in theatres.

And then there are plenty of people who don’t speak the language but would still happily watch these movies if you just put subtitles on**.**

Like seriously what is the logic here? 😭

You already have the movie you already have the screen you already have people interested.

JUST ADD THE FUCKING SUBTITLES.

You’d instantly make the movie accessible to a much bigger audience instead of limiting it to people who already understand the language.

Jodhpur cinemas, I promise subtitles are not going to bankrupt you.

Do movies at Nasrani have subtitles for other language films?

There’s a show today for the Tamil movie Karuppu, so I went to ask at the ticket counter if the movie has subtitles

I asked the girl Does this show have subtitles? and she said Hain?
I repeated myself, and she again went Hainnn… samajh nahi aa raha kya bol rahe ho 😭

Then I tried explaining Woh jo movie mein dialogue bolega, woh neeche English mein likha aayega kya?
She said Accha woh… pata nahi movie nahi dekhi maine 😭😭

So I asked her to check with someone else She called another staff member and asked Sir does that Tamil movie have subtitles? and even he was like Hain? Kya?😭

After she explained again that I was asking whether English translations would appear below the dialogues he also said Pata nahi maine movie nahi dekhi.

At that point I was just confused because… what 😭

Then she said, “We don’t know, would you like a ticket?”
And I replied Sorry, main poochne aaya tha galti hogayi,Gharwalon ne Tamil sikhayi nahi, seekh kar aata hoon 😭

So please tell me has anyone watched Karuppu at Nasrani? Are subtitles available or not?
