Hi everyone. Im an international student and as moving in day is coming up im getting more and more anxious. I have already filled many forms and sent lots of documents. I am worried about the amount of steps i should take to get fully ready and focused for academics there in the beginning . can u give any tips for the initial processes like cards/documents/sim cards? is it not as overwhelming as it seems? thank u

hi! im going to take academic placement test from German, can those who’ve taken it share how it went? does it have 4 section or include grammar? i have goethe b1 certificate has anyone bypassed the placement test with that zertikat? thank u

I'm an international student and I'll be starting at Swarthmore this fall. I'll still be 17 when I arrive, so I'm wondering if I need to have someone in the US who's officially responsible for me.

My parents can write and sign a permission letter if needed, but I don't know if that's enough or if I need an actual guardian or some other adult in the US.

I’m an incoming student at Swarthmore and my financial aid award includes a work-study component of $2,600. I’m a bit confused about what this number means. Is $2,600 the maximum amount I’m allowed to earn through campus jobs, or is it simply the amount the college expects me to earn as part of my aid package? Also, for students who have done work-study at Swarthmore, approximately how many hours per week did you work, and were you able to earn more than the amount listed in your award?Thanks alot

i recently got a form from swarthmore which has some standard criteria for laptops. i was planning to get Macbook Neo but it doesnt fit in couple of criteria. my major is poli sci, so do u think i can still get it cuz i wont need anything advanced compared to computer science, or better to follow the standards ?

i have just declined two offers from hku one of which was full tuition. i am choosing swarthmore instead. just a good reminder for those who are waitlisted :)
