PSA: APR no longer supports fbo tunes

PSA: APR no longer supports fbo tunes

found this out the hard way today! i just finished my is20 swap (took a while but got it done!) and went to upgrade my stage 1 tune to stage 3 fbo, only to not find that tune! i flashed the base is20 one, and i called apr support.

turns out after they got acquired by holley they discontinued the sale of downpipe tunes to comply with emissions. i find this to be a load of bull, especially after i installed a cts downpipe. anyone know of good alternatives for an is20 tune? i’ll probably seek a refund for this tune. if anyone offers burbles or whatnot that would be fun as well

following up from my last post.. is this too much play in the wastegate linkage?

it moves along its direction of travel with slight resistance but it’s definitely moving laterally a good bit

how screwed am i?

car lost all its power out of nowhere, epc light came on…. code is P0299. is this a sign my wastegate actuator is going? my car battery died a few days ago after my father left the door open all night, so that might have something to do with something idk.

hey might just be swapping in that is20 earlier than expected….

upped the tire size on the pretoria’s!

So I hit the worst goddamn pothole in all of mass the day after cracking my windshield, went back to my 18s for a week but boy did this have a silver lining.

I had 18” Talladegas w DWS 06s but really don’t like the look. Sooo I did the sensible thing and went on marketplace and bought some prets w/ connie sport 02s that had enough life to get me through the summer. Fast forward a month, I liked the look well as the way they handled, but this crater of a pothole decided I didn’t need thousand dollar summer tires. That’s okay. The tires were almost bald anyway!

Had my father deal with the tires since I was at work on the cape for the rest of the week. He lost a bet and had to pay for the tires. He didn’t get new sport 02s but boy do the 235/40s fit SOOO much better. They fix the massive gap that I’ve been dealing with, since I bought the prets off a GTI. The comfort is insane.

Although for some ungodly reason my pretoria’s didn’t bend on that dreadful pothole, I feel much safer on these terrible Massachusetts roads with the extra sidewall.

Running stock suspension with 15mm and 25mm spacers front and back. Although I think I cracked my rear cladding on a speed bump…

win some, loose some

just picked up a solid is20 for $100 from a townie in fall river, on the drive back a stray pebble cracked my windshield. gotta love massachusetts. can’t ever get a win. any things i should be aware of for the install? i’m upgrading my downpipe at a later date but is anything apart from an install kit and a tune required to run the is20?

Low Oil?

I got my oil changed less than 5k miles ago, it’s looking a little low, how can I tell if I’m burning oil? Is that common among these cars? I’ve got less than 68,000 miles on my 2019 Alltrack so i
I’m quite suprised. Are there any common spots to check for oil leaks?
