Figuring out what party to register as?

So I have two options. Democrats or socialists. On one hand it feels like voting socialist is throwing away my vote, on the other I'd rather someone blue than another conservative who wants me dead. I don't like the Democrats in my state but it feels like my vote would matter more? Especially in such a red state. Some discussion would be appreciated

Edit: I want to add that this is my first time even thinking about voting because I was taught it is ultimately pointless and I honestly don't have a good civics education (working on it :) ), so I'm working on researching and working on that

How to prepare for the gym

What do I do before starting the gym?

So technically this is my second time starting the gym (the people at my last gym SUCKED and mocked me every time I stepped foot in there so I was obviously not having it) but honestly I wasn't really making progress

So my question is how do I prepare for the gym?

I got made fun of for the clothes I chose to wear (tank top and sweats is that not normal??? Felt like I was going crazy that feels like a normal gym outfit??? It was a little nerdy it had the samurai logo on it but like cyberpunk rocks i don't care), so what clothes do I wear

What should I research how to do? The machines are confusing and I don't want to look like an idiot trying to figure it out and their site doesn't say what machines they have. What basics should I come in knowing? I really could only figure out a few machines and spammed those because someone was helping me at the start (leg press, treadmill, some other leg thing lol I was spamming legs)

Is there anything that makes the gym easier? (other than having gym buddies, I don't know anyone at this gym yet lol and my bros don't work out (yet 😈) How do you motivate yourself to go (clearly I'm not fond of the gym lmao)

Edit: Before anyone mentions it, I already do the kitchen work, I count calories and I eat clean :)

Edit edit: if it helps, my goals are to build muscle and lose weight (but getting stronger is more important than losing weight, if I need the weight to be stronger so be it. Trying to be fit not a bodybuilder)

Ok so I'm a autistic substitute with not a lot of experience yet so big emotions are a struggle for me. I'll see a kid start to cry for whatever reason and sit near them on their level, try to calmly ask what's wrong but I'll usually not get a response but I see far more experienced teachers be able to get the response in order to help them so I'm just looking for advice on how to deal with those moments
