I recently found my dad’s old cd player, it has been In storage for the last 7 years. Every time I play a cd it plays fine for a couple of minutes and then it just keeps skipping back like 30 seconds. I have already cleaned the laser lens and I lubricated the rail, but I’m not sure if I did it correctly. I know regular WD40 is bad for lubrication, but is the silicone grease version okay? I used it and it didn’t seem to change anything. Is there anything else I should try?
