Lapland but not of the fake type

Hi all,

We (couple in their 30s, no kids, plenty of experience travelling to Norwegian and Swedish Lapland between November and March) are now hoping to see Finnish Lapland this winter (likely late November, early December).
What we are looking for is quiet and authenticity. My worst holiday would be an all inclusive santa village resort full of entitled people. I was thinking a cabin or Airbnb or even a guest house (although preferably a self catering place) with a sauna, some wildlife (birds?) and access to hiking or backcountry skiing trails (and a place for ski rental). No parties, no noisy folks. The caveat is: we will not drive (we may if we feel safe but we are planning to not have a car). Thus, the place would need to be accessible by public transport.
I’ve so far heard of Inari/Ivalo, Utsjoki and Äkäslompolo. What are your thoughts of these places, would they fit our wants? Do any other places come to mind?
We’ve done some touristy things before but this time I would like to focus on a nature experience.

Thank you!
