How Would I Go About Buying A Car?

So, I have a question that is for the future when I pass my test because I have no clue how to go about it.

Simply put; how would I go about buying a car? Is there specific places or websites that I could go? I don't want or need anything specific or super expensive, I just want something that gets me to A to B and won't explode on me.

Would Appreciate Some Perspective On This

Hi.

I made a post on here a couple of weeks back about advice on roundabouts and that helped a lot. Thank you for that.

But there's something new that seems to have gotten me and it feels completely random when it does happen, even though I know logically, it isn't.

So, I am doing reasonably well with my lessons. But one thing that I've been doing recently is at certain junctions and situations where I need to go, I either lift the clutch just fast enough to the point it feels like I can't find the bite and the engine stalls or I think I'm pressing down on the gas but it's either I'm not pressing it at all or I put on way too much and the engine screams at me.

It feels entirely mental and random and every single time, my instructor asks me "Why do you think that happened ?" or "What makes this different to any other time ?" and I WANT to tell him that it feels so random out of frustration but I can never get it out. It just genuinely feel like my feet just don't cooperate in those aforementioned situations and it's really embarrassing when it does.

So, I guess what I would appreciate is some perspective on other driver's who at least get where I'm coming from or share some sort of strategy to make this happen less. I'd be less annoyed if it was consistent, but the fact it just randomly happens really takes the wind out of my sails on a good lesson.

Some Clarification On How Roundabouts Work

Hello there.

I'm currently learning to drive and it's going pretty well. I still make small mistakes here and there and the occasional stall, but I'm much better than I once was.

That being said, there is one thing about roundabouts that somewhat stubs me. It's partly because of nerves but I'm willing to admit it's also just me misunderstanding something too.

So, the way my instructor has gone about roundabouts, he says that when I come to one, he wants me to ask the question "Is there anyone coming on or around that affects you ?"

I can tell my left and right perfectly fine, but for some reason, applying what is the left and right lane for a roundabout fucked my brain for the longest time and it made me make silly mistakes due to it. But, on the last lesson, I've now noticed that the smaller ring closer to the center is the right and the larger one is the left. So that settles that.

But here's what I want to make sure I've understood. He explained to me that the "around" in the "on and around" question is a lot more important than the "on" and that's because that's what you will have to immediately react to. Which again, makes sense to me. So, when someone is coming around, if they are in the right lane on the roundabout and are signalling right, then they affect me, right ? And of course, if they signal left, they're leaving the roundabout so that means they're safe to go too.

So, again. Is my takeaway of "if they're coming around in the right lane, they affect me and I need to make way for them" the correct takeaway or is there something I'm still misunderstanding ?

Hopefully this all makes sense. Thank you all in advance.
