How are spikes on lobes not popular? Does anyone have earrings like these and if so then show it off!

I've been trying to find inspo pics and this is the only one I've found. I was thinking i could replace my vertical helix jewellery and use it for my lobe.

I got this alley fuggler keychain but i feel like i was overcharged?! Am I imagining things, i felt so guilty buying it!!
