So I'll just get to the point, I can't flash my esp32 s2 mini that I got from amazon, it doesn't show up as an option, no LED nothing, and it doesn't show up in device manager, no sound or anything.

1. Tried different USBs

I have tried 4 different USBs, 3 A to C, 1 C to C. I have tried to plug my phone in and it gives me the "What do you want to do with your device" thing.

2. Tried Bootloader Mode

I did the hold 0, press Reset and release and still nothing, I tried with a capacitor, and still nothing. I also;

Changed cables: I’ve tried a different USB cable to make sure the cable wasn’t the issue.

Pressed and held BOOT while connecting the USB cable: I’ve done this multiple times while trying different variations of the button presses.

3. Used ESP tool

annnnd still nothing, it gets stuck on Connecting, or gives an error.

4. I tried a capacitor

I used a 10uf capacitor to the EN and GND pins still nothing.

5. Tried to use ESP Connect

still nothing

6. Gets hot when plugged in

Gets warm around USB and main chip areas

I'm really at a loss here and feeling helpless. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be going wrong? I'm wondering if it might be a hardware issue, or if I've overlooked a crucial step to get into bootloader mode. I'm relatively new to this and I'm unsure if I did something wrong. Edit: It seems pretty likely that my board was DOA, so if anyone has suggestions for a better board or something, please add those. I need that it...

• is smaller than 35mm x 25mm?
• has at least 10 GPIO pins?
• has both 5V and 3.3V power outputs?
