I spent 7 hours on and off the phone yesterday getting it resolved and finally got ahold of a representative who was a guardian angel and called the pharmacy while I was on hold and had them fill it! I’m afraid I will have to do this every 2 weeks now when I’m due for a refill! 😭

Has this happened to anyone else before?! If so what did you do? My pharmacy doesn’t allow you to pay out of pocket for narcotics anymore. So that is no longer an option. I’m so scared!

I’m curious to know what pain medication everyone is taking daily? I want to know if it is similar to mine. I just left a message with my palliative care provider explaining that mine is not effective whatsoever and I can no longer get out of my chair that I practically live in!

I have scleroderma, an aggressive case which leaves me with two different feeding tubes- a tpn and a gj tube only for venting not feeding as I can’t tolerate it. My pain is less about my joints (although I do also have rheumatoid arthritis) and more about the internal burning and shooting pain. I always feel alone with my pain and suffering. My disease is like a cancer in that it is rapidly attacking all my major organs. I just feel so alone. I can barely leave my chair. :( Anyone here that can relate? I hope everyone has a good weekend without too much pain!

I hate being invited to activities but having to decline due to my pain from scleroderma. I’m afraid that soon the invites will stop coming and I will turn into a recluse. I don’t want that to be my life. I used to be so active and say yes to everything but now I can hardly leave my recliner chair. :( sorry just feeling very depressed today.

Is anyone on here prescribed iv pain medication at home? I’m in palliative care and I want to ask for it to use for breakthrough pain since I already have a picc line. Do you think it will be hard to get? I’m on 40mg of oxycodone every 4 hours and a 100mcg fentanyl patch now.

I got a new palliative care doctor who is just wonderful and she actually listened to me when I requested an increase of my oxycodone and changed it. She filled out my pulse form for me and overall was just excellent. Finally some good news and a positive experience!

I’m on 30mg IR of Oxy but it’s not as effective as it was and my organs are getting worse every day. My provider is very strict but I’m desperate and I just want to try asking because it’s hard to function. And I was just in the hospital for 2 weeks where I got pain medication every 2 hours. Oxy 30 then 1mg of dilaudid through my picc line. Now I’m back home and back to just the Oxy every 4 hours with nothing for the break though pain.
She once told me the Oxy was my breakthrough and my fentanyl patch was my regular pain medicine.

I’m afraid to ask but I also can’t live like this suffering every day and always in pain.

On top of my regular chronic illness and pain I am running a fever and I could use a movie recommendation to get through today? Something that is a good distraction maybe suspenseful? Has anyone seen the new cape fear? Is it really scary?

My mom lost my morphine bottle and I have to wait 24 hours to get my pain patch

So part of it became wet with saline solution while I was cleaning a wound so I took it off and put it in a new spot and put tag tape on top. Will it still be effective?
