I am currently watching Season 9 and I think I just found the worst episode of this classic show. It is Episode 18 "Barney the Gold Digger". Edith and Archie fix up Barney Hefner with a friend of Edith's we've never heard of, and aren't even sure how they know each other. The friend is wealthy, but extremely overweight. So lots of weight shaming jokes that would be inappropriate today. Then we hear that Barney has taken her out several times, and may or may not be doing so for her money. And then it just sort of...ends. Are there other episodes as bad as this one?
