ETA: yes, we discontinued use of these car seats. I stopped using them immediately then asked the below question.

Our truck got backed into in a store parking lot. We were left with this dent and that’s all. Do we really think we need to replace our car seats?
I know the technical answer is yes according to graco and evenflo (the brands of car seats in the truck). But I’m having a moral dilemma about throwing these car seats out over a dent as big as my hand.
ETA: Despite the facts my husband still doesn’t think we need to replace which is unpleasant to say the least.
